About Beatrice Willow
Beatrice Willow is a children’s author and former primary school teacher, as well as the mother of two spirited children. Her family also includes Lucky, a gentle but endlessly enthusiastic Labrador.
Her lifelong love of nature and storytelling inspired her to create Little Mouse, a children’s story based on a treasured memory from her own childhood.
Today, she writes warm, comforting stories that nurture curiosity, kindness and a sense of wonder in young readers. Her books centre on gentle adventures, nature and the small moments of courage that help children grow.
The True Story Behind Little Mouse
Little Mouse was inspired by a treasured childhood memory. When Beatrice was about eight years old, she rescued a tiny mouse from a trap. An unexpected friendship began, and many years later, that special memory became the inspiration for Little Mouse.
